26 is a national organisation that champions a more imaginative use of language in business. I joined the Scottish branch on its formation and shortly afterwards found myself producing promotional material and being lead designer on the first Scottish project in collaboration with the two Scottish directors, writers Stuart Delves and Jamie Jauncey.
26 Malts was a creative partnership between the Scotch Malt Whisky Society and the project paired 26 writers with 26 designers to create labels for 26 of the Society’s malt whiskies. 26 Malts illustrates the power of words and images working creatively together, and maintains the long association of whisky with literature and language.
As design director on the project I was responsible for the creation and project management of all communications including – brand, label production, packaging, leaflets, posters, exhibition and not forgetting the 164 page book.
